Our Story

Since our founding in 1960, Pepco Manufacturing Co. has evolved from a small threeperson job shop into one of the leading precision sheet metal manufacturers in the tri-state area.

Our journey began in the 1960s with the production of television components, which soon expanded into the design and manufacturing of color television cameras in the 1970s. As the tech revolution accelerated in the 1980s, Pepco adapted and thrived—producing transmitters, video recorders, and computer components for a rapidly changing industry.

In 1990, we launched our own line of telecommunications enclosures with the introduction of the Pepco Cabinet—a product now recognized nationwide for its quality and reliability in data centers from coast to coast. Our capabilities grew again in 2001 with the acquisition of Premier Metals, a trusted name in quality enclosure systems since 1948. In 2006, we acquired Global Metal, expanding both our equipment inventory and customer base, including partnerships with major companies such as Strobic Air.

Our diversification continued in 2009, when we merged with Fiore Skylights, adding custom skylights and bus shelters to our expanding portfolio. Today, Pepco proudly operates four specialized divisions: Pepco Sheet Metal, Pepco Cabinets, Premier Enclosures, and Fiore Skylights.

Over the past six decades, our facility has grown from 1,000 to over 120,000 square feet. Our modern operations include departments for engineering, punching, welding, electrostatic painting, powder coating, and silk-screening, among others. We are committed to lean manufacturing principles—minimizing inventory, optimizing production, and consistently delivering on time.

Pepco’s products serve a diverse range of industries, including construction, medical, advertising, and data infrastructure. Beyond our manufacturing excellence, we also specialize in the fabrication and assembly of chassis, panels, doors, enclosures, bus shelters, and more.

At Pepco Manufacturing Co., we are proud of our legacy—and even more excited about what lies ahead!
