PEPCO’S HISTORY ~ Since its beginning in 1960, Pepco has grown from a small three-person “job shop” to one of the largest precision sheet metal manufacturers in the tri-state area.
In the 1960’s, Pepco got its start manufacturing television parts, which evolved into the development and production of color television cameras in the 1970’s. The 1980’s landed Pepco right in the middle of the technology revolution with the production of transmitters, video recorders and computers.
Expansion into its own telecommunication line began in 1990 with the Pepco Cabinet. The Pepco Cabinet is well known throughout the country as a top quality, world-class enclosure. Standard size cabinets are available, which can be configured to your exact specifications, and shipped within 10 working days.
The Premier cabinet line was acquired by Pepco in 2001. This quality enclosure line, which has been produced since 1948, offers a variety of different sizes and configurations.
Over the past sixty years, Pepco’s facility has grown from 1,000 square feet to over 100,000 square feet. The facility houses Pepco’s engineering, punching, welding, electrostatic painting, powder coating, and silk-screening departments – among others. We continually improve our manufacturing program allowing Pepco to maintain low inventory levels, maximize production and meet on-time delivery schedules.
TODAY ~ PEPCO IS A DIVERSE “One-Stop-Shop” for all of your metal needs from small brackets to large enclosures. Products are sent to a variety of different industries such as Construction, Medical, Advertising and Data Centers to name a few.
In addition to our world-class manufacturing, Pepco specializes in the fabrication and assembly of chassis, panels, doors, data/telecommunications enclosures and bus shelters. Pepco’s in-house engineering and manufacturing teams can assist you in the design of your custom part or enclosure using computer aided drafting and 3-D modeling. We manufacture everything from small brackets to the large solar framing such as that which surrounds Met Life Stadium.
